The Prism Automatic Volumetric Liquid Vial Filling Machine works on a volumetric principle with diving nozzles. The unit is made compact, versatile, and enclosed in an elegantly matte-finished stainless steel body. It consists of an S.S. Slat Conveyor, a Reciprocating Nozzle with self-centering devices, and an SS Syringe. The absence of a container-no filling system arrangement is a standard feature of the machine. The main drive of the machine and conveyor drive consist of an A/C Motor with synchronized variable A/C Frequency Drive.
Vials move on an SS Slat conveyor from the Unscrambler to feed below the filling nozzles through a settable twin pneumatically operated stopper system. The twin pneumatically operated stopper system and reciprocating nozzles can precisely match the centering of the container below the nozzles, avoiding spillage of liquid on the container. To minimize foaming, the adjustable nozzle will reciprocate according to the filling dose, gradually moving upwards from the bottom level of the vial towards the neck during filling.
The dosing block with a hexagonal bolt is fitted below the syringes, making it easy to set the fill size. The syringes have a non-return valve for sucking and delivering the liquid to avoid volume variation. The liquid reaches the filling nozzles through a transparent silicon pipe. The nozzle will have Up and Down movement with the help of a cam mechanism. It comes down when a vial is held by the star wheel for filling operation and starts filling when it moves up. After the completion of the filling operation, the star wheel delivers four/six vials together on the conveyor for the rubber stoppering operation.
The stoppering unit consists of a Star wheel, Vibrator unit, and Bowl. The sterilized/autoclaved rubber stoppers stored in the vibrator bowl move vertically to the rubber stopper chute. The vial is firmly held by the star wheel, which is in continuous rotary motion. As the vial comes from the filling unit, it gets into the star wheel and moves in a rotary direction along with it. During this movement, it picks up the rubber stopper from the exit end of the chute, and the rubber stopper is pressed by a fixed pressing roller that is spring-loaded. The vial then moves on and is collected on the inbuilt scrambler for the next sealing operation.
