Application & Process
The Prism Tippler-Lifting or Tipping Device is a hydraulic device that uses an arm for lifting and turning an FBD bowl by 180 degrees. It is used to unload material from a fluid bed dryer bowl into a Cone Mill, Multi Mill or Oscillating Granulator in a dust-free manner for downsizing or dry milling and collected in IBC Bin. The operation is completely dust-free and eliminates manual handling or scooping.
To use the device, the FBD bowl is placed beneath the tipper and the inverted cone of the tipper is lowered until the brim flange of the bowl touches the inverted cone. Both components are then clamped together using quick-fixing clamps and the entire assembly is raised and tilting.
Salient Features

- The device allows for unloading of material in-line with a milling machine in a dust-free process using an IBC bin.
- It is a fully automatic system with hydraulic lifting and tipping arrangement for quick and easy handling, eliminating tedious and unhygienic manual handling of products.
- The tilting arrangement with a single point pivot ensures GMP with ease of operations.
- The 180 degree swiveling of the vertical mast with vertical lift and tippling ensures motion in all three dimensions as required.
- The discharge cone is fitted with a 250mm diameter butterfly valve at the bottom with a silicon rubber seat. It can be provided with a pneumatic actuator for opening or closing the butterfly valve without reaching for it, using pneumatic controls.
- The hydraulic power pack can be mounted over the service floor so that the column of the tipper acts as a pendant, and hydraulic lines along with electric cables can travel above the working area slab.
- A suitable view glass window is provided on the conical tapering portion of the tipper, which acts as a viewing window.
- The device features a stainless steel lift yoke with integral rotation drives for the rotation of the discharge cone and container.
Safety Features
